Dear Friends,

It has been a great honor to serve our community as a member of the San Carlos City Council, including this year as Mayor. I am very proud of the work we have accomplished so far, but I also recognize there is much more to do ahead. That is why I am thrilled to announce that I have decided to run for re-election to the City Council this November.

Over the last few years, the Covid-19 pandemic presented many challenges, but we worked together as a community and as a City Council to find innovative solutions. We were one of the first cities in the county to allow parklets to expand for outdoor dining, and now we are moving forward with a plan to reimagine Laurel Street based on its transformation during the pandemic. We supported small businesses with grants and a Shop Local campaign, and we provided food and rental assistance to those in need. We also kept infrastructure projects moving forward with the construction of new bike lanes and sidewalks on San Carlos Avenue, upgraded our parks, and improved the way we deliver public safety services in our city. We approved and built an affordable housing development downtown, and another affordable development is currently in the planning stages.

I will continue to put my experience in public policy and government to work for San Carlos to guide us to a brighter future. We must continue to improve our aging infrastructure and parks, address our traffic and parking issues, find real solutions to affordable housing, and keep our vital public safety resources fully funded. We must also continue to take a strong stance on development projects to ensure they include meaningful community benefits that positively impact San Carlos. We must preserve the values and characteristics that make San Carlos a unique and cherished place to call home.

I am running for re-election because I want to continue to be a strong voice for our community. I will take a proactive and pragmatic approach to meeting current needs while also anticipating and addressing potential challenges that lie ahead. Serving on the San Carlos City Council has been a great privilege, and I hope to earn your support to continue serving in the future.

Let’s move forward together,
